The Friday Night Platter Party

WWCF presents The Friday Night Platter Party. The Platter Party debuted in February and is hosted predominantly by Chris Palladino when he isn’t playing with his band, Rumours. Airing every Friday evening from 6-10 PM, Chris will entertain listeners with live, in-studio programming and his unique, insightful commentary on the artists and the music.

The Friday Night Platter Party show name pays homage to the late Travis Rupert. ‘Trav’ hosted the original Platter Party on radio station WARK AM in Hagerstown in the 1960’s and introduced many listeners to artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and far too many other artists to mention. Suffice it to say a lot of our musical education was supplied by ‘Trav’.

You might also recognize Chris as the host of our daily Today in Rock & Roll History segments, in which Chris takes a few minutes to inform us about various tidbits of rock and roll trivia for each day of the year. Today in Rock & Roll History airs on WWCF 88.7 FM three times per day at 8 AM, 1 PM and 6 PM.
